Amy – 5 years gone
Amy Winehouse, Legionary English singer and song writer was well known for her music.
Its been 5 years today that the world lost a very talented creative individual who expressed her feelings threw her vocals and her electric mix of musical genres.
Amy’s debut album, FRANK in 2003, was a huge success and was nominated for the Mercury Price Award, Her second album, Back to Black in 2006 (One of my all time favourite albums), led to five Grammy Awards, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night! making her the first British female to win five Grammys, including three of the general field “Big Four” awards: Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
It’s hard to say where these last 5 years have gone, all I can say is imagine what music she would of brought out now, with all the trouble thats going on in the world, the terrorism, the racism, the all #blacklifesmatter, pray for paris, pray for orlando, pray for this and that!
PRAY for everyone I say!!
ALL LIFE MATTERS! Thats what she would say, and thats what she would of expressed in her music.
So on this day, lets take a moment and think just how lucky we all are and lets pray for a better future for each and everyone of us.
