Make up Artist Sita Gill shares 5 steps to help your skin look fabulous!
Picking the correct foundation is almost as hard as picking that perfect black dress. With Sita’s top 5 easy steps you can feel confident and happy in your foundation selection.
Determine what you what to achieve from your foundation. What kind of finish are you after? Natural, full coverage or dewy. This will all depend upon your skin type and skin condition. Generally speaking if you have an oily skin you want to pick a foundation which is oil free. If you are dry or combination a dewy finish or tinted moisturiser would work wonders on your skin.
Colour selection is key you don’t want to look like your wearing anything. Select 3 possible shades of colour which are the closest to your skin tone. Apply a small amount to your jaw line and then blend using your fingers or a brush. If the colour blends in. You have found your perfect match.
Invest in a brush to apply your foundation as you may find the warmth from your fingers may interfere with the colour of your selected foundation.
No foundation is complete without everyone’s best friend, a concealer to apply under the eyes and over any blemishes.
The final item required is powder which is either translucent or nearest to your skin tone. Using a powder brush apply a small amount over the foundation and concealer.
